Aroma Very dense red fruit rather than black, marischino cherry and even peach more than the cassis and tar of the North Coast, and always with a distinct characteristic signature of gunpowder tea and rosewater.
Flavor Boatloads of solid, angular tannins reslved through hangtime strategies which result in elevated alcohol.
Balance Rustic cowboy wine with a lot of class.

Terroir 1000 foot elevation. A Region II - III moderated by lake fog and untroubled by the Monterey winds, with great potential and a free spirit.
